Guest Speaker: Judge Christine Walczyk

Judge Christine Walczyk is a candidate for the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2026, bringing nearly two decades of judicial experience to the race. For 19 years, she has served as a District Court Judge in Wake County, earning the trust of both Democratic and Republican chief judges who have selected her for leadership roles, including Lead Judge in Family Court and her current role as Lead Judge in general civil court.

A North Carolina native and graduate of the UNC School of Law, Judge Walczyk has built her career around fair, thoughtful, and nonpartisan application of the law. She is running for the Court of Appeals because she believes public confidence in our courts is essential to our democracy. Beyond the courtroom, she is a strong advocate for women in the legal profession, an educator and mentor, and an active leader in organizations supporting judicial independence and women attorneys.
