· Voting Options:
There are three ways to cast your vote:
1. Absentee Ballots:
To request an official North Carolina absentee ballot, submit a request form online via the portal at Vote by Mail or obtain a printed form from the local Board of Elections Office or the NC Board of Elections website. Once the request is received, the official ballot will be mailed to you with instructions on how to complete and return it.
2. Early Voting:
You can vote at any Early Voting site, including the Burke County Elections Office, Glen Alpine Town Hall, Burke County Senior Center, Rutherford College Town Hall, or East Burke Senior Center Library, between Thursday, October 17th, and Saturday, November 2nd. Weekday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No voting will take place on Sundays.
3. Election Day Voting:
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th, voters can cast their ballots at their designated home precinct between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. If you are unsure of your precinct location, please use the voter search tool on the North Carolina State Board of Elections website or contact the Burke County Board of Elections at (828) 764-9010. You can track your ballot using Ballot Trax.
